Privacy Policy – VideoStation (App)
Last updated: 07.07.2026
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled when you use the VideoStation app (the “App“).
1. Controller
Thorben Bajanowski. Dorffeldstraße 9A, 48161 Münster, Germany Email: info@3d-xr.de
2. Principle: Data Minimization
VideoStation is designed to process as little data as possible. The App operates no servers of its own, has no user accounts, performs no tracking, and integrates no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. Core features run on your device and through Apple’s official interfaces.
3. Apple Music Access (MusicKit)
To provide its core function (searching and playing music videos, building video stations), the App uses Apple’s MusicKit framework and requires your permission to access Apple Music.
- Data processed: your search queries, information about played and selected music videos and – when you trigger it – creating and updating playlists in your Apple Music library. To show suggestions on the home screen, the App reads items recently added to your library.
- Recipients: these requests are transmitted via Apple (MusicKit) to services of Apple Inc. / Apple Distribution International Ltd. Apple’s Privacy Policy applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
- Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the app function you requested) and your consent given via the iOS system dialog (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time in iOS Settings.
We ourselves do not receive or store this data.
4. Local Storage on the Device
Video stations (playlists) you save in the App are stored locally on your device as a reference list (video identifiers and titles).
5. iCloud Synchronization
If you have iCloud enabled, your saved stations are synchronized between your devices via Apple’s iCloud Key-Value Store, exclusively within your personal iCloud account. We have no access to this data. Apple’s Privacy Policy applies. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. You can disable synchronization in your device’s iCloud settings.
6. AirPlay
The App supports playback on AirPlay-enabled devices (e.g., Apple TV). The required communication happens via Apple’s system functions on your local network. No personal data is transmitted to us in this process.
7. No Sharing with Other Third Parties
Beyond the Apple services you trigger yourself (Sections 3–6), we do not share data with third parties. We do not sell data.
8. App Store Data Processing by Apple
Downloading and installing the App happens via the App Store. Apple independently processes data (e.g., download, usage, and crash data, where you have permitted it). We have no influence on this; Apple’s terms apply. Where Apple provides us with aggregated, non-identifying statistics (e.g., App Analytics), we use them solely to improve the App.
9. Your Rights
You have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent (Art. 15–21 GDPR). As we do not store personal data about you ourselves, requests generally concern data held by Apple; please contact Apple for those. For matters concerning us, reach us at info@3d-xr.de.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
10. Children
The App is not specifically directed at children. Apple’s age requirements apply to the use of Apple Music.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App or the legal framework changes. The current version is available at https://www.3d-xr.de/videostation/privacy
